BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Annette Bittner

President

Annette is the co-founder of The ARTS Life with her husband AJ and joined the board as president!

Annette was born at Ohio State University in Columbus, OH and is the second oldest among three siblings. Annette is a cancer survivor having recovered from non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Leukemia she battled from age of 5-9 years old. Her family moved to Minneapolis, MN in the late 80s.

Annette loved Minneapolis and all it had to offer. She thrived in the arts as a musician, dancer, theater student, and radio show host in the arts and  communications magnet at her school North Community High School. She also participated on the ladies basketball team  at Hospitality House and ran cross country and was on the gymnastics team at North Community High School where she graduated.

She attended Bethel University for her BA degree in Media Communications and minor in Theatre. She loved college life.

"I pretty much ran Bethel...in my little mind. I was not afraid to try new things and hang out with people who seemed different than me. I was involved in the band as a percussionist, dance line, traveled the summer after my junior with the Royal Company Players and eventually sang in the Bethel Singers choir. I loved the Media Comm department and my dear friends whom some I met before I started college (JD and MCL) and others I met as early as Welcome Week."

Since graduating from Bethel she has had many experiences and jobs. Some say of her, she is a "jack of all trades, a master of none." But let's not forget the second part of that quote which definitely applies to Annette, "often times better than master of one."-William Shakespeare

She is excited about the mission God has given to The ARTS Life and looks forward to the good work many will do through the organization.

Jesus is coming back so let's be found busy about His work and preparing for His return!

Matt Kirk

Treasurer

Matthew Kirk joined us as The ARTS Life treasurer!

Matt was born in Columbus, OH to join a family with
three older siblings.

Matthew graduated from Bethel University and has since operated in the field of
social work.

“I started as a social worker with a passion for impacting youth. My first career role was working with adults, in which I sidelined the youth work passion. Youthwork is not always what you do,
for some it is a part of who they are.”

Matthew has done community work in the Twin Cities as a youth
pastor, case manager, family liaison, DJ, and social services coordinator.

Matt is excited to function on The ARTS Life board and we look forward to Matt’s participation!
